This update is not an easy one to write. But I’ll try to keep this short and sweet.

Take The Day, as we have all collectively come to know it, will not be a band any longer, however a few of us will be changing the band name, and continuing forward. Tim, Jon, and myself are remaining, and Adam and Clint will no longer be playing music with us. Just so everyone knows, there is no bad-blood between any of us. It’s just time to move on to the next chapter.

With these changes comes new horizons. When one door closes, another opens. Tim, Jon, and myself are going to be joining forces, and Take The Day will evolve into a new band (more details on this when everything is ready). We hope you stick it out with us, because we are incredibly excited for this new chapter.

We don’t want to end things on a sour note, so we saved this song to be released today with this announcement. It’s called “Good Life”, and it’s just about seeing the beauty in all the ugliness, and doing everything you can to just have a blast. Thanks I’m glad you’re stoked on it! We’re all between 18 and 23… we used to play in various bands from the area, and as college approached our bandmates left so we found eachother and started take the day! we wanted to have a saying or something to stand by, and define us and what we stand for. “take the day” just summed up feelings of staying motivated, making every day as fun as possible, and not taking opportunities for granted :-)

Just got back from Vegas yesterday. We’re super happy for our friends in Patent Pending that they won the chance to play the Billboard Music Awards.

Also, don’t you guys dare think that we’re slowing down for a minute just because we didn’t win in Vegas. We’re going full steam ahead right now! Get ready for a ton of new awesome stuff!
